Mitchell Kanaan is a self-taught visual artist born in Zgharta, Lebanon, and raised between Lebanon and the United States. With an academic background in media, theater, and political science, his practice ultimately found its voice through visual art.

His work is rooted in drawing and painting, evolving into a distinctive approach that blends pointillism and naïve art through a self-developed 3D mosaic technique, built through years of experimentation and observation.
